Chocolate Torte

Equipment

  • 1 9" Springform Pan
  • Parchment Paper

Ingredients
  

  • 9 oz Dark Chocolate At least 65%
  • 9 oz Unsalted Butter
  • 1 ½ cups Granulated Sugar
  • 7 Large Eggs Room Temperature
  • ¼ tsp Almond Extract
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Chocolate Ganache

  • 5 oz Semi Sweet Chocolate
  • 5 oz Heavy or Whipped Cream

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven to 375 F
  • Grease 9" springform Pan and line with parchment
  • Grease Parchment
  • Melt butter and chocolate together in microwave or double boiler
  • Stir in sugar and let cool for a bit.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, and stir after each addition
  • Stir in vanilla and almond extract
  • Pour batter into pan.
  • Bake 30-35 minutes, until it jiggles a little, but isn't firmly set.

Chocolate Ganache Topping

  • Melt semi-sweet chocolate and mix heavy cream together.
  • Pour over amazing chocolate torte.
